I want to talk a little bit about the comments we are getting from people all over the nation. Let it be known that this tea party is NOT bi partisan. We are standing as a collective whole. We are not Republican, or Democrat. We are not any form of a third party. We are Americans! If you must tag us with a name… then call us patriots, call us the responsible, call us the ANSWER!

Nor is this about religion. I personally am a God fearing Christian… and will not apologize! And that is my God given RIGHT! However, this is not about that, it is your God given right to believe in your own faith as well. So now I speak to my brothers and my sisters of this country! Be you Christian, Catholic, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Mormon, Jehovah’s Witness, Agnostic, or atheist… your rights are on the chopping block of big government control! Every religion, belief, even lack there of… has a common bond. You are charitable! You have good in your heart, and you want to be good to those who are in need.

These earmarks and this spending is killing your ability to do good to others with a death by a thousand cuts! Please, hear me out! When your neighbor needed help the block would band together as friends to help that person through anything they faced. When a homeless man was down on his luck and really wanted a hand up, not a hand out, we would give him one. Do we not see that these programs the government wants to “give” are only destroying the personal responsibility we have? And now! Now the government wants to destroy the tax incentive that you get when you give to charities? THEY WANT COMPLETE AND TOTAL CONTROL OF US! They are so thirsty for this control; they even want to control the good we do to others! THIS CANNOT STAND!

Just like our physical bodies, our rights are only weak if we do not exercise them. And now even the media has wrongly portrayed us. We are not a political party; we are the American body. We are not funded or fueled by politicians and government; we are fueled with pride, passion, and love for our country. And we are not a whining minority, WE ARE THE FIGHT OF A LIFE TIME! In a recent article by the associated press, it was expressed to the public that we are in political protest of Barack Obama… NO! Obama is not the problem! Big government and a sleeping society blissfully sucking on the teat of the Government cash cow… THAT IS THE PROBLEM!

To say Obama is the problem is to give him far too much credit! We are not like this because of a single man or woman. This has been an on going collective effort to slowly sneak up behind the sleeping giant and steal his iron club! The Constitution! We MUST fight back, we MUST unite, and we MUST put aside our differences and look our oppressors in the eye. So close that you can smell the high shelf alcohol on their breath… and so they can smell the scolding tea on ours.
